It is not enough for us to have created a way to exchange messages with symbols and sounds. Our needs are greater than warmth and a full belly. Our spirits will not rest until we have braided patterns with leaves and grass. These complications that no other creature sees, we delight in creating.
So, far be it from us to simply use our words to speak directly. In ambiguity and metaphor, we expand our vision and delight in a thing we call poetry.
